Governance Structure
The PPM is composed of scholars, community leaders, and peace activists from Myanmar and around the globe who share a common goal to achieve our vision. PPM has a defined structure that includes a Board of Directors and a senior management team.
The Board of Directors is comprised of key local community leaders, scholars, and peace activists and is the highest decision-making organ for approving strategies, policies and reviewing achievements and plans. Members of the board have experience engaging with peace and development activities and have the ability to assist the PPM through their own expertise and contacts. Members also endorse the PPM’s mission and vision, actively commit to the values of inclusivity, respect for diversity, human rights, and human dignity. The PPM’s Boards are composed of 7 members and the President is the leader of the Board of Directors.
The senior management team is the planning and activity implementing body of the organization which controls and approves all activities in line with the organizational strategy as validated by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director is the head of the senior management team as well as a member of the board of directors and is responsible for the overall management of programs and operations.
